Channel 4 cleans up with 15 golds at the 2006 PROMAX awards

Channel 4 has swept the board at the Promax TV marketing and promotions awards picking up 15 golds including channel of the year for Film4.

Over 40 broadcasters entered this year's awards which celebrate the best promotional and marketing created by the broadcasting industry.

Film 4 picked up a second award for best TV campaign for a TV channel for its Freeview launch. Entertainment channel E4 won a gold best website or interactive promo for Slash Music.

More4 picked up five golds. Iraq: The Bloody Circus won promo of the year, best direction and best factual or factual entertainment promo (using original content not from the show itself). The best themed promo went to Russian Bear and the best news and current affairs promo went to More4 News

Channel 4's flagship channel won a total of seven golds. The third series of Shameless won best drama promo (using originated content) and best launch. The best leisure and lifestyle promo went to The F-Word Series 2.

Jamie's Return to School Dinners won best print and poster campaign.

It also picked up best on-air branding for Channel Identity: Tokyo; Best television campaign on-air promotion for Star Stories and a gold for best cross media campaign for The State of Russia.

Channel Five won best drama promo clip based for Prison Break (using content from the programme) and best voice-over for The Wright Stuff.

BSkyB, with agency devilfish, won best entertainment of comedy promo (using original content) for Come Home to the Simpsons; Best film promo went to The Kieslowski Season and best direct response promo was won Gamestar Millionaire.

Red Bee Media won 5 golds. Best entertainment or comedy promo (using material from the show) for Catherine Tate vs The Vicar of Dibley; best factual or factual entertainment promo (using clips from the show) for Planet Earth; Best sports promo, with ad agency DFGW, for the Winter Olympics and best Children's promo for Level Up.

ITV managed one gold for best script or copy for Coronation Street Wedding while Paul Quinn picked up the best newcomer award
