Channel 4 bids farewell to Hoxton

Julian Bellamy, Channel 4's programming boss, who rejoined the broadcaster in 2007 after barely a year in charge of BBC3, was rather pleased to hear from head of press, Matt Baker, that today's spring/summer season launch was to be held in "the basement". "Was this some sort of trendy Hoxton club?" Bellamy admitted wondering. Er, no ... that would be the basement screening room of Channel 4's Horseferry Road HQ. Dear, dear Julian - Hoxton is soooo pre-credit crunch.
