Channel 4 A Place in the Sun host hits back after buyers slam apartment

A Place in the Sun host Lee Juggurnauth hit back after buyers' complaints during Wednesday's episode.

The property expert was on hand to assist married couple Gordon and Staci, from Glasgow, in their hunt for the perfect holiday home in Western Tenerife. As both are singers, they were keen to be somewhere known for its entertainment.

Lee explained the area is known for its music and culture, making it the perfect place for the pair to spend their time.

With a budget of £170,000, and around £20,000 in "wiggle room", Gordon and Staci were looking for somewhere they could bring their children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. But things did not get off to a great start.

The first property was an apartment with a communal pool and a large balcony. On the market for just over £188,000, it also had an open-plan living and dining space and a fitted kitchen.

It also had two bedrooms, one with an en-suite. Staci immediately said the property was "cramped" and said she would like somewhere bigger, but Lee hit back with some bad news.

He said: "This is actually quite sizeable for your budget in this area". Staci said she also didn't like the décor.

Thankfully, property number two was a lot more to Staci and Gordon's tastes. A more modern apartment, the pair deemed it a contender before continuing their search.

A Place in the Sun airs weekdays at 3pm on Channel 4 and All 4
