Channel 4 A Place in the Sun host accused of making things 'difficult'

A Place in the Sun's Danni Menzies failed to impress two potential buyers during Friday's episode.

The Channel 4 programme was back for the week's final instalment, with property expert Danni to assist Katrin and Thomas in their search for their perfect holiday home. The couple were property hunting in inland Malaga, Spain.

With a budget of £250,000, they wanted somewhere with a pool, mountain views and land to grow vegetables and keep chickens. They were also looking for a minimum of three bedrooms.

While many potential buyers peruse properties near the sea, Danni explained to viewers that homes inland are up to 50% cheaper than those on the Spanish coastline.

Things didn't get off to the best start, with the first property being ruled out for being "smaller than I expected", according to Thomas. Property number two was on hilly land, which also meant this was unsuitable.

Thankfully the third home, a six-bed apartment on the market for just over £223,000, was much more to their liking. Thomas said it was "very, very nice", while Katrin was similarly keen on the property. It had a small balcony at the back, with stunning mountain views, and a large open plan kitchen.

Property number four was taken out of the running fairly quickly, with Thomas and Katrin not wanting to even view it in full.

But when it came to the final home, a three-bedroom townhouse with its own pool and outdoor bar area, they suddenly had a decision to make.

On seeing the final option, Thomas said Danni was "making their lives difficult", adding: "It was all very easy until half an hour ago".

Danni was clearly overjoyed as she'd seemingly landed two contenders. But when it came to the final day, Katrin and Thomas had changed their minds. The pair decided to "give it a bit more time" and keep looking for their dream home.

A Place in the Sun airs weekdays at 3pm on Channel 4 and All 4
