A couple on A Place in the Sun fell "in love" with a property which viewers branded "soulless".
Danni Menzies hoped to find Alison, Brian and their dogs their ideal holiday home for £160,000 on the Channel 4 show. They wanted to move to live in Alicante in Spain now that their three children had all grown up.
They hoped for a home with three bedrooms and two bathrooms. They also wanted access to a swimming pool and somewhere with a nice outdoor space with a view. Alison said: "We do not want a project" as they didn't want a property that required any work doing.

The first property that the couple were shown was a three-bedroom apartment. The complex had an adult pool and a children's pool and was on the market for £162,000.
The couple fell in love with the property which was all brand new and modern. It was very clean looking as everything was freshly painted white with grey features.
Danni asked: "Are there any negatives so far because it feels like it's going really well?" Alison replied: "No I don't think there is. No, I'm loving it."
The couple agreed that the property was definitely a contender. Alison said: "I think it being a modern property and the pools are great, the views are lovely and it's in a very nice area." The only negative they could find was that the kitchen was a tad too small.
However, while Alison and Brian were overjoyed with the property, viewers on Twitter weren't impressed. Some branded the home "soulless".
Albi said: "It’s a bit soulless." Another user said: "Urgh, totally featureless #APlaceInTheSun." Meanwhile, Fi seemed bored with it as she simply wrote: "Next!"
