Changes to Bolton's bin collection schedule over the Christmas and New Year period have been revealed.
Bins will be collected as normal up to and including Christmas Eve but then for two weeks, collection days will differ.
If your normal collection date is Christmas Day then bins will be collected on Monday December 28.
For the week beginning Monday December 28, collections will be one day later than normal for those expecting collections on the Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.
For those expecting collection on Thursday December 31, collections will be on Saturday January 2, and for those whose bins are due on New Year's Day the collections will be on Monday January 4.
For the week commencing Monday January 4, all collections will be one day after the normal collection day with those expecting pick ups on Friday January 8 having their collection on Saturday January 9 instead.
Normal collection days will return from Monday January 11.
Bolton Council has asked that on collection day residents should leave bins out with the lid fully closed before 7.30am and park all vehicles responsibly to allow access.
Residents can also leave extra recycling next to the beige and burgundy bins - in a cardboard box or clear plastic bag. Excess waste next to grey bins will not collected.
Bolton Council will also collect and recycle real Christmas trees for £16.
Residents can take any extra waste or unwanted Christmas trees to either of the household waste recycling centres - at Raikes Lane and Salford Road.
