Chanelle Hayes still in touch with Ziggy 13 years after Big Brother romance

Chanelle Hayes has revealed she's still in touch with Ziggy Lichman - 13 years after they fell for each other in the Big Brother house.

The romance between the Victoria Beckham lookalike and former boyband star captivated viewers, but Chanelle said she's not been able to join fans in rewatching old episodes on E4 this month.

The mum-of-two said she finds her past antics incredibly cringe and lamented she looks like 'she's eaten her former self' these days and is glad people don't recognise her from the show.

Speaking to The Sun, Chanelle said: "Sometimes people say 'you look familiar' and I make a joke and go: 'It'll be Crimewatch, you'll have seen me on Crimewatch.'

"I look like I've eaten my former self so hopefully no one will recognise me - it's the perfect disguise," she quipped.

Back in 2007, Chanelle and Ziggy were dubbed the 'Posh and Becks' of reality TV after hooking up on the Channel 4 show and continuing to pursue their stormy romance on the outside.

However after just six months after the final, the duo parted ways for good.

Despite the break- up Chanelle says Ziggy is now the only person she still speaks to from their crop of housemates.

"Yeah, we'll chat every now and again. I don't talk to anybody else from the show really," she explained.

The reality star said she and Ziggy won't be watching Big Brother's Best Ever Shows together as they'd get 'PTSD flashbacks.'

Despite many tender - and some x-rated moments - Chanelle and Ziggy also had their fair share of bust-ups in the house.

After one fight, mop-haired Ziggy dealt the blonde the infamous words 'It's not you, it's me' as he tried to break up with her before they were evicted.

But their rocky romance only endeared Chanelle to viewers more and she continued a career in the spotlight for some years after the show

However, the mum said she doesn't agree with the many die-hard fans calling for Big Brother to be reserructed on its 20th anniversary.

"If they did it now it would be all the social media people and everyone would look the same. Same lips and same hair," she said.
