Chanelle Hayes embraces her 'wobbly bits' and vows to respect body after losing 7 stone

Former Big Brother star Chanelle Hayes recently underwent Bariatric surgery in a bid to lose weight.

As a result she went from 17 stone to 10 stone and is continuing to document her weight-loss journey on social media.

And on Thursday as she updated her fans she shared how she is focused on being "grateful" for her body and embracing where it "wobbles and jiggles"

The ex Victoria Beckham lookalike uploaded a video of her jumping around in a black bra and knickers that was slowed down to emphasise her tummy moving.

Alongside the clip, Chanelle opened up on growing to love her body and treating herself with respect.

"Let’s talk about bodies. We all have them, we all dislike parts of them, we all see other people who have bodies more preferable to our own tastes," she began.

Chanelle added: "But let’s reeeaally talk bodies: we need them to live, they enable us to breathe, to move, to laugh, to think, to dance, to feel. Our bodies contain our hearts, vital organs, our souls, our most important pieces.

"We only see the outsides of our bodies. But who cares about a phone case more than they care about the actual phone?!

"I have wobbles and jiggles and bits I don’t love about myself, but looking at the physical data on paper from my healthcare team of how much my health has improved since the weight loss that caused these jiggles helps me to embrace the bits of the outer me I don’t like."

Revealing how her body image is changing, she continued: "Now I look at my body as something I am grateful for, that I have taken for granted, that I need to treat with respect. And something that is different to everybody else’s, always will be, and that’s ok."

In July, Chanelle reflected on how she was neither happy being too skinny or too large.

Taking to social media, the reality star looked radiant as she posed in front of a tropical wall that was decorated with a neon sign that said 'hot stuff'.

Alongside the collection of snaps, Chanelle admitted that she didn't feel good enough when she slimmed down to a tiny size 6.

In her empowering post, Chanelle also added that she was grateful to finally have her life back, even though she still has bad moods and negative days.

"I’ve realised over the past few years that I am what I tell myself I am. When I was bigger, I thought of myself as 'ugly', 'the funny, fat friend', 'not worthy', 'disgusting'," Chanelle wrote.

"But even when I was a size 6, weighing under 7 stone I still felt not good enough and was constantly comparing myself to others who were that bit prettier or thinner, smarter or more popular. I don’t confess to be magically 'fixed' and to hold the secrets to learning to being happy all of the time.

She added: "But every single day since 1st August 2020 I have told myself I am good enough, I am smart enough, I am pretty enough, I am HOT STUFF.

"I don’t care whether anybody agrees, I compete only with myself and achieve only for myself. I’m not happy everyday, I have bad moods and negative days but I am the most content with myself I have ever been in my life. I hate these kind of posts preaching to people and I’m not bragging, I am just so grateful that I feel like I’ve got my life back again. #selflove," Chanelle concluded.
