Chanel the missing parrot's fate revealed as owner appears on This Morning

The fate of Chanel the parrot has been revealed after her owner appeared on This Morning.

Aside from coronavirus of course, there was one story that got everyone talking over the weekend and that was the search for Chanel after videos of devastated owner Sandra went viral as she launched a frantic search for her.

The original clip was soon seen by hundreds of thousands of people on social media and then sparked a series of parodies, including one featuring Sandra's worried screams put to a soundtrack of Robin S dance anthem Show Me Love, which was then copied by Little Mix star Jade Thirlwall on TikTok.

Sandra appeared on Monday's This Morning, as you can see in the video above taken from the show's Twitter, and revealed to hosts Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby what happened to her beloved pet.

"I had no sleep the night she went missing. People were down the canal looking for her but she was found after she was knocking on someone's window and they recognised her.

"It's been crazy. My son came running up to me at 1 o'clock on the morning an was like "mam all me mates are messaging me; you've gone famous."

Chanel herself made a fleeting appearance as Sandra appeared on This Morning live from her home to reveal the reason why she's called Chanel is that her dog is called Coco.
