CHANDIGARH: PGI director Prof Vivek Lal visited the PGI satellite centre site in Una to review the project. He was accompanied by a high-level team comprising Kumar Gaurav Dhawan, deputy director, administration, Prof Vipin Koushal, medical superintendent, Kumar Abhay, financial advisor and Prof R K Sehgal, nodal officer.
During an interaction with officials of the local administration and the executing agency, the visiting team was apprised of the progress on the upcoming centre.
Prof Vivek Lal directed officials concerned to complete the project on time.
The executing agency was also instructed to complete milestones as per stipulated timelines.
The interaction was followed by a site visit of the PGI Satellite Centre.
Later, Prof Lal, accompanied by his team, visited the temporary OPD of the PGI Satellite Centre, Una, being run at the local civil hospital.
Here, he interacted with doctors, paramedics and patients and enquired about the facilities being provided to patients.
The visit concluded with the executing agency assuring timely execution of the project.
