Chandigarh: Minor rapes teen twice, held

CHANDIGARH: Police have arrested a minor boy for allegedly raping a 13-year-old girl twice in March and on May 8.

Parents of the girl filed a complaint against the alleged accused after she told them about the assaults. The girl was counselled. Police conducted her medical examination and registered a case under sections of IPC and POCSO Act.

The accused was sent to the juvenile home in Sector 25. In a separate case, police arrested a 40-year-old man for allegedly sexually harassing a minor girl at Kishangarh.

(The victim's identity has not been revealed to protect her privacy as per Supreme court directives on cases related to sexual assault)
