CHANDIGARH: On Wednesday, the city received a good amount of rain, covering most areas. After some rain in August, the city has got relief from the heat.
"There is a possibility of rain with cloud cover on Friday. Maximum temperature of the day can be 35 degrees Celsius, and the minimum temperature 26 degrees Celsius. It can be cloudy on Saturday. Light rain with strong winds may occur. Maximum temperature of the day can be 35 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature is 27 degrees Celsius", said an IMD Official.
According to the meteorological department, 59.9 mm of rain was recorded in the observatory located in Sector 39 in the last four days while the observatory at the airport recorded 82.8 mm of rain. According to the weatherman, monsoon is active and it is supported by the low-pressure area over Uttar Pradesh and Jharkhand. Along with this, the amount of moisture in the air is also maintained.
