Hadrian's Tower will be Newcastle's tallest building when it opens in 2020 - and now the penthouse is up for sale .

The chance to own a three-bedroom apartment on the top floor of the 26-storey skyscraper will set you back around £630,000.

Currently under construction at Rutherford Street in Newcastle city centre , the 162 apartment development is expected to open in 2020, and developers High Street Group confirmed in February that 50% of the flats had been sold to overseas investors.

TK Property Group, who are marketing the flats, say, "In addition, residents will benefit from 24/7 concierge service and property management team, high-speed wi-fi & broadband throughout the building, high quality fixtures and fittings, cleaning services, onsite café and exclusive communal areas - plus an exclusive and luxury Sky Lounge with panoramic views of the city skyline."

Speaking earlier in the year, group chairman Gary Forrest said: “We think it’s going to be iconic and have premium rents.

"There’s going to be a lot of high-end technology and it will be very similar to a hotel. There will be an app where you can get people to clean your apartment or hire a car, or book a restaurant.”

The company also wants to set up communal areas and activities in the building to encourage a community feel and ensure people stay there longer.
