Don’t mess with Chance the Rapper when it comes to the film “Drumline.”
In a richly entertaining interview today with Nick Cannon on the Billboard trivia series “Quizzed,” the Chicago rapper proves he knows pretty much everything there is to know about the 2002 hit movie based on the world of show-style marching bands, which starred Cannon.
At one juncture, Chance laughingly screams he’s seen the movie “a million times,” the most recent being a year ago. Without missing a beat, Cannon replies, “I haven’t seen this movie in at least 28 years!”
The biggest reveal: Chance says the film is is the reason he makes music, having purchased a drum kit two weeks after watching it for the first time.
