Championship transfer rumours: Rhian Brewster decision awaited, Hull bid, Forest man wanted

The January transfer window is open for business and Championship clubs have started to make their first moves.

Here is a look at the latest transfer gossip from across the division...

Brewster yet to decide on loan

The race for Liverpool striker Rhian Brewster is one to keep an eye on this month but Wales Online reports that the forward is yet to decide on his destination.

Liverpool are set to offload Brewster on loan for the second half of the season and a host of clubs are keen on his services, including Swansea City, Sheffield Wednesday, Huddersfield Town and Leeds United.

Swansea have long been regarded as the leaders in the hunt for Brewster’s services, with boss Steve Cooper having worked with the forward in England’s youth ranks.

Hull City reject seven-figure bid

Hull City have rejected a seven-figure offer from New York Red Bulls for the services of Leonardo da Silva Lopes, Hull Live reports.

The highly-rated 21-year-old only arrived at Hull from Wigan Athletic in the summer but impressive performances in the first half of the season have led to the MLS franchise expressing an interest.

The Tigers have no desire to sell their talented asset during the January transfer window but another bid from North America could emerge before the close of the window.

Swansea eye want-away Bristol man

Swansea City are increasing their pursuit of Bristol City ace Kasey Palmer, Bristol Live reports.

The relationship of the former Chelsea midfielder with Robins boss Lee Johnson has reportedly decreased significantly, with Palmer open to an exit during the January transfer window.

That has led to Swansea lodging an official approach for Palmer, while it could also have an effect in Bristol’s chase for Arsenal forward Eddie Nketiah.

Charlton want Forest midfielder

Charlton Athletic are keen to sign Nottingham Forest midfielder John Bostock during the January transfer window, according to Football Insider.

The 27-year-old is midway through a season-long loan at the City Ground from Ligue 1 outfit Toulouse but has found first-team opportunities difficult to come by, which has alerted Charlton.

The Addicks, fighting to retain their Championship status, are ready to offer Bostock more football in the second half of the season by bringing him on loan until the end of the campaign.
