Championship transfer rumours: No offers for £14m Stoke City midfielder, Charlton land Ozthumer after Bolton exit

Charlton Athletic have signed Erhun Oztumer after the midfielder was able to tear up his contract at Bolton Wanderers.

The 28-year-old quit the crisis club after going unpaid amid their financial woes, allowing him to sign a two-year deal with Charlton.

"It feels great. It’s nice to see a few faces I haven’t seen in a while. I’m very happy to be here and looking forward to enjoying football again," the former Addicks academy player said.

“I’m a local lad and I’ve kept an eye on Charlton since I left, so I’m happy to be here, playing in the Championship. The team has started really well so I’ll fight for my place, work hard and see where it takes us.”

Shrewsbury Town have signed midfielder Sean Goss from Queens Park Rangers.

The 23-year-old has signed a two-year deal after failing to get into Mark Warburton's team.

Stoke City insist they have received no offers for wantaway midfielder Badou Ndiaye.

The £14m signing spent last season on loan with Galatasaray and has reportedly said he has no intention of playing in the Championship.

Sevilla, Fenerbahce and Monaco have been linked with Ndiaye.

“We’ve had no offers for him. We’ve had inquiries, but no offers," manager Nathan Jones said.

“And of course I am happy with that. He’s a fantastic player and I’d like him to stay. I’d like to keep him.”
