Championship transfer rumours: Leeds to enter bidding war, former Nottingham Forest boss eyes goalkeeper

The summer transfer season is now well underway with all the Championship action sewn up for another season.

Next season's Championship clubs, including play-off final losers Derby County and League One play-off final winners Charlton, will now be setting about putting their summer transfer plans into action as Sunday and Monday's events sink in.

And that leads us on nicely to the latest Championship transfer rumours for Friday, May 31.

QPR eye Scottish keeper

Queens Park Rangers are eyeing a move for Livingston goalkeeper Liam Kelly, according to the Daily Record .

Hoops boss Mark Warburton is said to be in the market for another goalkeeper and Kelly has caught his eye having worked with him at Rangers.

Kelly made the move from Ibrox in 2018 and he's impressed since, making 22 league appearances to date.

The 23-year-old's form was rewarded earlier this year when he was called up by Scotland for their Euro 2020 fixtures.

Leeds enter race for Portsmouth star

Leeds United have entered a bidding war for Portsmouth defender Matt Clarke, according to Portsmouth News .

The Yorkshire club join a lengthy queue, which reportedly includes Stoke, Hull, Reading and Bristol City.

Though, Premier League club Brighton could have the edge, with Portsmouth News reporting that the Seagulls are currently stood at the front of the line.

Pompey are said to be happy to 'sit comfortably' as a bidding war ensues.
