Championship transfer rumours: Chelsea and Dortmund scouting Massengo, Boro eye Wednesday defender

English football has been rocked to the core by the outbreak of coronavirus, with all action suspended until the end of April at the earliest.

But despite no games being played, that hasn’t stopped the rumour mill from continuing with the latest transfer tittle-tattle.

With that in mind, here are the latest Championship transfer rumours.

Elite scouting Massengo

Chelsea and Borussia Dortmund have regularly sent scouts to watch Bristol City midfielder Han-Noah Massengo, Football League World are reporting.

Although according to the report, City have absolutely no intention to sell Massengo, and view him as a fundamental figure in the future of the club.

The 18-year-old has made 25 appearances in all competitions for Lee Johnson's side so far this season.

Kardioglu pursuit a “non-starter”

Derby County’s rumoured pursuit of Fenerbahce midfielder Ferdi Kardioglu is a non-starter.

Reports emerged on Monday linking the Championship side with a summer move for the forward.

But according to The Athletic, Derby have no interest in the 20-year-old, who is more likely to head to Holland instead.

Boro eye Wednesday defender

Middlesbrough want to sign Sheffield Wednesday defender Morgan Fox in the upcoming transfer window.

The left-back is out of contract at Hillsborough at the end of the season and Boro are keen to add him to his ranks.

Fox had made over 100 appearances for Wednesday, but could leave the club this summer according to Football Insider.

Portsmouth plotting move for Birmingham defender

Portsmouth are planning to make a move to sign Birmingham City defender Steve Seddon on a permanent basis this summer.

The left-back joined the League One side on loan in the January transfer window and has impressed since his arrival on the South Coast.

The 22-year-old still has another year left to run on his contract at St Andrew's, but according to The Portsmouth News, the League One side are hoping to lure him to Fratton Park this summer.
