Championship transfer rumours: £15m Leeds United signing and Chelsea want Stoke City forward

Leeds to complete £15m signing

Leeds United will sign Helder Costa on a permanent basis this summer as their plans haven’t changed following the coronavirus crisis, Football Insider reports.

Costa’s loan stint at Elland Road is due to expire on June 30th, along with four other loanees, but Marcelo Bielsa’s side have a clause allowing them to complete a £15m permanent deal.

While the coronavirus crisis has led to a lot of uncertainty, including when the next transfer window will take place, but Leeds’ plans for Costa remain unchanged.

Chelsea eye Stoke ace

Chelsea and Atletico Madrid are fighting for the services of Stoke City forward Mohamed Sankoh, Goal states.

The Dutch talent has been in tremendous form for Stoke’s U18 side this season, scoring nine goals and providing nine assists, with both clubs said to have held talks with the 16-year-old.

Stoke now face a stern battle to keep hold of their latest academy starlet, who has been compared to former Chelsea and Manchester United striker Romelu Lukaku.

Wednesday unlikely to offer striker deal

Sheffield Wednesday are unlikely to offer a new contract to striker Sam Winnall, as reported by Yorkshire Live.

The 29-year-old sees his contract at Hillsborough expire at the end of the season and will likely leave on a free transfer, with Atdhe Nuhiu and Fernando Forestieri also set to depart.

As a result, the Owls are expected to be in the market for a new forward when the next transfer window opens.

Besiktas eye Luton stopper

Turkish giants Besiktas are interested in a move for Luton Town goalkeeper Simon Sluga, reports cited by Sport Witness state.

Sluga joined the Hatters on a club-record £1m deal last summer and is reportedly seen as an ideal replacement for Liverpool loanee Loris Karius, who won’t be moving to the club on a permanent basis.

The stopper signed a three-year deal at Kenilworth Road and, following a shaky start, improved his performances for the relegation-threatened side.
