Championship transfer news: Free agent Wilfried Bony training with Newport County, Huddersfield sign Fraizer Campbell

The transfer window may be closed for Nottingham Forest but deals can still be done.

Clubs in the lower leagues can still sign players until September 2nd and so can clubs across Europe.

Should Sabri Lamouchi wish to strengthen, he is limited to landing free agents and there are plenty on the market.

Here is all the latest transfer news from around the Championship...

Swansea close to losing winger

After nine years at Swansea City, Andrew Ayew is set to re-sign for Marseille, according to reports from FootballGhana.com.

The winger moved to the Liberty Stadium for a club-record fee back in 2018 and has scored 52 goals in South Wales.

His current deal is up at the end of the season and a move for the international would allow Steve Cooper's side to cash in while they can on one of their most valuable players.

Huddersfield Town sign Fraizer Campbell

Frazier Campbell has signed for hometown club Huddersfield Town following his release from Hull City.

The former Manchester United man was in search of a club this summer and had been training with Brighouse Town to keep up his fitness.

Campbell scored 12 goals last season in the Championship and will add some welcome fire power to the Terriers attack.

Wilfried Bony trains with Newport County

Former Manchester City striker, and Premier League winner, Wilfried Bony is training with Newport County as his search for a club continues.

The striker has been looking for a new employer ever since his release from Swansea City and has been working closely with a personal trainer to keep himself sharp.

Newport boss Michael Flynn confirmed that the Ivorian striker was working with the club at Rodney Parade on his twitter account where he praised the forward's professionalism.

"[It's] great to have Wilfried Bony training with us," said Flynn. "Excellent professionalism and standards. The boys will take a lot from this."
