Championship clubs are working hard to bring in new players ahead of the up-coming league season.

The summer transfer window closes earlier for the second tier clubs this time around so the clock is ticking

Five clubs chasing Brentford midfielder

Romaine Sawyers is a wanted man.

The Brentford midfielder is once again a transfer target for West Brom this summer according to Birmingham Live.

But the Baggies, who developed the midfielder at Albion before releasing him in 2013, face plenty of competition for his signature with Leeds United, Celticm Stoke City and Middlesbrough amongst the sides reported to be chasing him.

Sawyers, 27, is heading into the final year of his contract at Griffin Park and the Bees value their man at £2.5m.

Robins linked with move for Arsenal starlet

Bristol City are "at the head of the queue" to sign Arsenal striker Eddie Nketiah on loan according to the latest reports.

The Sun report Lee Johnson's Robins are favourites to land England Under-20 ace Nketiah.

Arsenal are looking to loan out their talented young forward who has struggled for game time at the Premier League club with the likes of Alexandre Lacazette, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alex Iwobi ahead of him, believing a full season in the Championship would better develop their player.

According to the report several clubs, including some Premier League outfits, have asked about the 20-year-old.

Blades put forward £15m striker bid

Sheffield United will make a final £15m bid for Swansea forward Oliver McBurnie according to the latest reports.

The Sun report that if the newly promoted Premier League side fail with their final offer for the Scotland international, they will turn their attention to Brentford striker Neal Maupay.

Fulham land former Chelsea striker

Fulham have signed former Chelsea forward Martell Taylor-Crossdale.

The 19-year-old said: "I’m ready to go here and show everyone what I can do. I felt coming here presented the perfect opportunity to push into the first team. I had a look at the pathway into the first team and I’m hopeful I can breakthrough to impress the manager.

"I’m a p layer who likes to run in-behind. I’m good in the box and know where the net is, I hope I can score lots of goals for Fulham.”

Premier League club to go big for Bees star

West Ham United are ready to blow their rivals out of the water with a massive bid for Brentford striker Neal Maupay.

Maupay, 22, is attracting interest from a host of Premier League with Sheffield United and Aston Villa thought to be heading the queue.

However Football Insider reports that the Hammers are now the latest suitors after missing out on Callum Wilson and Maxi Gomez.

West Ham are ready to offer him a huge pay rise and five-year contract as they look to see off the competition.

The Bees striker finished last season with an impressive 28 goals and nine assists.
