Championship rumours: West Brom eye Antonee Robinson, Leeds United boosted in Erras race

The Championship is just days away from returning to our television screens for the first time since March.

Since then, the transfer rumours have been a major source of sports news, with teams still aiming to improve their squad for next season.

However, due to the coronavirus outbreak, clubs’ finances may be heavily impacted and this could be one of the quietest windows in terms of money spent, but teams are still aiming to find any bargains from across Europe.

With that in mind, here are the best Championship transfer rumours from today.

Championship season so far

Leeds boosted in Erras race

Leeds United have received a boost in their reported interest in 1.FC Nurnberg midfielder Patrick Erras.

According to German outlet Fussball Transfers, Erras is hoping for a move to England this summer.

That's despite three clubs from Germany's second-tier expressing an interest, while Brentford and QPR are also said to be interested in Erras.

Albion ‘one of the front-runners’ Robinson

West Bromwich Albion are said to be ‘one of the front-runners’ for Wigan Athletic defender Antonee Robinson.

The 72 is reporting that Albion are keeping tabs on Robinson ahead of the transfer window reopening.

The report also adds that West Ham United are interested in the former Everton full-back.

City enter Rose race

Bristol City are set to rival Leeds United for the signature of Coventry City centre-back Michael Rose, according to a report.

The Scottish defender joined Coventry from Ayr United this season and has gone on to make 31 appearances for the Sky Blues as Mark Robins’ side won the League One title.

Football Insider are reporting that a recruitment source has informed them that City are also interested in signing Rose.
