Wednesday eye Newcastle winger
Sheffield Wednesday will reportedly be in ‘pole position’ to re-sign Jacob Murphy if Newcastle United opt to loan him out again this summer.
This is according to The 72, who also claim the Owls are open to the idea of bringing him back to Hillsborough again in the upcoming window.
The 25-year-old joined Wednesday last year on loan from Newcastle and has scored seven goals in 40 appearances in all competitions so far this season.
Appleton linked
Lincoln City boss Michael Appleton is the latest name to be linked with the vacant head coach position at Ashton Gate.
The popular d3d4football.com is reporting that the Imps manager is City's preferred appointment following the departure of Lee Johnson.
Appleton has also previously worked with Bristol City CEO Mark Ashton, with both having combined at Oxford United in the past.
Trio eye Kamberi
Championship trio Huddersfield Town, Hull City and Middlesbrough are set to do battle for Hibernian striker Florian Kamberi.
That is according to The Scottish Sun, who claim all three are eyeing Kamberi ahead of the summer window opening.
Kamberi spent the second half of last season on loan at SPL giants Rangers, where he scored one goal for Steven Gerrard’s side.
