Joe Hart tipped for Leeds
Former Leeds United goalkeeper Paul Robinson believes Joe Hart would be an ideal signing for the club this summer.
“Kiko’s been indifferent this season and he’s got his ban. Meslier’s one of the best young goalkeepers but there’s no kind of stability there," Robinson told MOT Leeds.
“Somebody like Joe Hart at Burnley. If he wanted to leave and seek first-team football elsewhere, I think he would be a really, really good option for them to look at.”
Maddison on the move
Marcus Maddison is set to leave Hull City and become a free agent this summer.
The midfield playmaker joined the Tigers on from Peterborough in January but has yet to make an impression.
As a result, the Peterborough Telegraph are now reporting that Hull are not set to make a permanent move for the former Gateshead forward having been unimpressed with his performances thus far.
Prior to the EFL being suspended, Maddison had featured just seven times for the Tigers, scoring once.
Villalba on the move
Fran Villalba has revealed he jumped at the chance to leave Birmingham City and wants to extend his stay in Spain.
The midfielder joined Almeria in the January window, just months after completing his move to English football.
He had played five times for the Spanish outfit before the COVID-19 outbreak suspended La Liga 2 and has hinted that he would like to remain with the club.
“I was very happy when I got the offer at Christmas,” he told Diario Almería (via Sport Witness).
“From the first minute, I wanted to come here because the project is spectacular."
