Brentford 2-2 Millwall
Neil Harris was left “gutted” after a stoppage-time equaliser from Moses Odubajo denied Millwall three points in their battle to avoid relegation. “At 2-0 up with five or six minutes to go you expect to see the game out, but it shows where we are as a club at the moment. We’re down but we will pick ourselves up. The positives were there for all to see.” Mark Warburton said: “We were below our best but we have no divine right to turn up at Griffin Park and pick up three points. We know Millwall are scrapping hard and we knew it would be a tough test.”
Huddersfield 0-2 Fulham
Kit Symons called Fulham’s win “the most bizarre game I’ve ever been involved in” after seeing two missed penalties and the referee nearly sending off the wrong player. “We scored at the beginning and at the end and in between Huddersfield were by far the better side. We had a man sent off, the wrong one to start with, and the six minutes at the end felt like an eternity. But we got there, by hook or by crook, and showed character.” Chris Powell said: “This game never ceases to amaze me. After minute two and before minute 96 it was one-way traffic.”
Norwich 3-1 Nottingham Forest
Alex Neil praised his players for putting a couple of frustrating draws behind them to move back into contention for automatic promotion. “That’s certainly up there with the best performances since I have been here. Our movement and quality on the ball were top class … it’s a good response to one or two people who were questioning us after last week.” Dougie Freedman said his Forest side will keep battling for the play-offs. “There’s no way we are going to stop fighting, even though it will be tough. We will continue to show spirit and commitment.”
