Championship play-off fixture dates and times confirmed as Swansea City, Cardiff City, Brentford and Fulham discover opponents

Swansea City sensationally leapfrogged Nottingham Forest to make it into the Championship play-off line-up after the regular season's conclusion on Wednesday night.

The Swans will face Brentford in the play-offs, while Cardiff take on Fulham.

It was Nottingham Forest and the Bluebirds who went into the clash vying to formally claim their top six spots in the knowledge they just needed a single point each from their respective clashes, while Welsh rivals Swansea City were also mathematically in the mix to jump from seventh in the table to claim a play-off place too if Forest lost and a five goal swing against was achieved in Swansea's favour.

Neil Harris' Bluebirds claimed a 3-0 lead at home against Hull City, while Forest somehow lost their clash 4-1 to Stoke City and Steve Cooper's Swans claimed a crucial 4-1 victory away to Reading, playing against 10 men for more than half the game.

After Leeds United's automatic promotion to the Premier League was confirmed last week, the coveted second-place automatic ticket to the top flight was claimed by West Brom, who edged out a 2-2 draw against QPR.

As for Brentford, West Brom's closest rival in the table, they came away with no points against a Barnsley side which won 2-1.
