Aston Villa will make a second successive appearance in the Championship Play-Off Final as they seek to end their three-year exile from the Premier League.
The Villains - relegated from the top-flight for the first time since 1987 in miserable fashion in 2016 - finished fifth after defeat by champions Norwich on the final day of the regular season halted a remarkable 12-match unbeaten run that included a record 10 straight victories.
That position ensured a tense Midlands derby against West Bromwich Albion in the Play-Off semi-finals, with Dean Smith's side coming from behind to win the first leg at Villa Park after substitute Conor Hourihane and Tammy Abraham both struck in quick succession to cancel out an early goal from Dwight Gayle, who was later sent off for two bookable offences.
West Brom fought valiantly in the return fixture at The Hawthorns without their star striker, but two penalty saves from Jed Steer to deny Mason Holgate and Ahmed Hegazi in a shootout secured Villa's place at Wembley for the second year running.
They will hope to fare better than last season, when they were beaten 1-0 by 10-man Fulham thanks to Tom Cairney's first-half effort.
Villa will face Derby County in the final, with Frank Lampard's side seeing off Leeds United after a remarkable 4-3 aggregate win at Elland Road.
Leeds took a 1-0 lead into a remarkable second leg thanks to Kemar Roofe's effort in a controversial tie at Pride Park, and they looked to be sailing through after Stuart Dallas doubled their advantage after 24 minutes on Wednesday evening.
However, substitute Jack Marriott netted a brace - including a decisive finish five minutes from time - alongside further goals from loanees Mason Mount and Harry Wilson to secure a thrilling 4-2 win for the Rams on the night.
Dallas' second had given Leeds hope, while Gaetano Berardi and Scott Malone were sent off as both teams finished with 10 men.
When and where is the final?
The 2018-19 Championship Play-Off Final will take place on Monday 27 May, 2019.
The match will be played at Wembley Stadium in London and comes after the League One and League Two Play-Off Finals, which take place over the preceding two days.
Kick-off is scheduled for 3pm BST.
How much do tickets cost?
Aston Villa have been given an allocation of 36,288 at Wembley's West End, with tickets available to buy from the club online and over the phone.
The club say they have split the pricing categories into five different sections, offering concessions to 17-21 year olds and Under 17s.
Tickets in the different categories are "sold on a first-come-first-served basis and are subject to availability", with 2018-19 season-ticket holders able to secure their seats online from Wednesday May 15 at 5pm and on the phone from 9am the following day.
2018-19 Claret and Cub members can buy online from 5pm on Thursday May 16 and on the phone from 9am on Friday May 17.
The system then filters down to supporters who have attended five or more home games this season, then three or more, then simply fans with a home booking history from the current campaign.
