Championship gossip: Bids for Leeds United, Middlesbrough and West Brom target turned down; Nottingham Forest edge closer to impressive signing; Derby County star leaves

Things have quietened down after a manic few days on the transfer front at Bristol City.

Here is the latest from across the Championship.

Bids turned down

Kenny Jackett says Portsmouth have turned down bids for Leeds United, Middlesbrough and West Brom Jamal Lowe.

Speaking to the  Portsmouth News , Jackett said: “I would like to keep Jamal. As usual with Portsmouth, there’s a high level of speculation when not much has happened behind the scenes.

“We’re only just into July and the Championship window is August 8 with League One and League two September 2. That’s where it is. Jamal is not someone I want to lose and the bids have been turned down so far.

“What will happen now, we’ll see, but it will be great to keep him and build on it.”

Silva a permanent

Nottinghamshire Live claim Nottingham Forest's signing of Tiago Silva will be a permanent deal.

The Reds are hoping to land the former Portugal under-21 international as Sabri Lamouchi's first official signing.

And the basic details of a potential move from Feirense have now been agreed, with swift progress having been made over the capture of the playmaker.

Johnson joins Blackburn

Derby County's Bradley Johnson has joined Blackburn Rovers.

The midfielder leaves the Rams on a free transfer and has agreed a two-year deal at Ewood Park.

He was out of contract at Pride Park but was offered a new deal on reduced terms.
