Birmingham Live report that Aston Villa are interested in Newcastle United star Dwight Gayle.
Gayle spent last season on loan at West Brom and is attracting plenty of interest, with the Baggies keen to take him back.
Yet there has also been interest from Fulham and Stoke City in Gayle, who is valued at £20m.
Leeds and Boro dealt blow
Turkish outlet Fotomac claim that Fenerbahce have no interest in selling Michael Frey.
Leeds United and Middlesbrough had been keen on the striker who scored five goals in 22 games last season.
Despite being linked with £5m bids, they are unlikely to land the striker this summer.
Baggies rival Canaries
Sport Witness claim West Brom are rivalling Norwich City to the signing of Benfica star Filip Krovinovic.
Norwich were believed to be close to signing the midfielder, but it appears that the Baggies have joined the race.
He is available on a one-year loan deal.
