Championship evening headlines: Leeds United identify target as ex Bristol City star rolls back years

There is plenty going on in the Championship today.

From a former Bristol City star rolling back the years, to two sides plotting transfer targets for the Premier League.

Here is the latest from the second tier.

Leeds want Harrison

Football Insider report that Marcelo Bielsa is keen to make Jack Harrison his first signing of the summer should they win promotion.

The winger has been on loan at Elland Road since the start of last season and has been a mainstay of the side.

He has developed impressively under Bielsa and it has left the Argentine keen to sign the 23-year-old on a permanent basis should they win promotion.

Bielsa is said to be confident that Harrison has what it takes to make an impact in the Premier League.

Leeds are confident over being able to sign Harrison, having included an option-to-buy for just under £10m in the winger's loan deal.

Trundle rolls back the years

Lee Trundle is a man who needs little introduction to most football fans.

Most famous for his time at Swansea City, the showboating striker also enjoyed spells at Bristol City, Leeds United and Preston North End in the EFL.

He became a cult hero thanks to his skillful ability on the ball, making him a favourite of Soccer AM.

At 43, you would be forgiven for thinking Trundle's playing days were a thing of the past, but he turned out for Trefelin BGC veterans in Wales at the weekend to great aplomb.

The striker netted a hat-trick, including two fantastic goals that showcased the full range of his abilities.

West Brom eyeing winger

The Sun report that West Brom have identified Bright Osayi-Samuel as a top transfer target this summer.

Albion are starting to prepare for life back in the Premier League under Slaven Bilic, and are keen to land QPR winger Osayi-Samuel in the upcoming summer transfer window.

The Baggies are set to offer £8m for the 22-year-old.
