The four English clubs in the Champions League are continuing to do the Premier League proud, and could all make it through to the knockout stages of the tournament this week.
Last season Chelsea lifted the trophy after a 1-0 victory over Manchester City thanks to a goal from Kai Havertz.
Thomas Tuchel’s Blues look set to mount a strong charge for the silverware, but it is no secret that Pep Guardiola has made it his priority to bring the coveted trophy to Etihad Stadium.
With the penultimate round of the Champions League fixtures commencing on Tuesday and Wednesday this week, what results do the English clubs need to head into the knockout stages of the tournament? Mirror Football takes a look…
Manchester City (Group A)

Pep Guardiola’s City need just one point to secure their spot in the knockouts, though it looks rather unlikely that they will drop down to third place in Group A.
The Cityzens are currently top of the table and one point ahead of PSG, with Club Brugge sat on four points in third place with two games to spare.
RB Leipzig are bottom of the group on one point.
City need to avoid defeat against PSG and Leipzig in order to progress, and the likes of Phil Foden, Riyad Mahrez and co will be doing their very best to avoid an upset.
Liverpool (Group B)
Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool are already through to the next knockout stages of the Champions League after four consecutive victories confirming their spot at the top of Group B.
The Reds’ 2-0 win over Atletico Madrid last month meant that the Anfield outfit can sit back and relax with two games to spare, providing Klopp with a great opportunity to rest some of his key players.
With Liverpool home and hosed, the remainder of the group separated by just three points.
FC Porto are currently sitting in second spot with five points, one point ahead of Diego Simeone’s Atletico and bottom-placed AC Milan who have just one point to their name.
Manchester United (Group F)

Despite enduring a torrid time in the Premier League, Manchester United remain top of Group F.
The currently-managerless club are joint top with Spanish side Villarreal on seven points, just two points above Atalanta on five points.
Rather surprisingly, Swiss side Young Boys have an outsiders chance of progressing into the next round.
They are currently sitting on three points thanks to their 2-1 victory over United in September after a 95th winner from Theoson Jordan Siebatcheu.
If United, currently managed by Michael Carrick, beat Villarreal on Tuesday night then they will progress into the knockouts with one game to spare.
Chelsea (Group H)

Current trophy holders Chelsea are just one point away from ensuring that they have every chance of keeping the Champions League trophy at Stamford Bridge.
Despite being without target man Romelu Lukaku, the Blues look unlikely to throw away their chances of progression with games against first-placed Juventus (12 points) and Zenit St Petersburg (3 points).
Swedish side Malmo complete the group but they have lost all four of their games so far.
