Uefa Champions League LIVE results: Tottenham 3-0 Dortmund, Ajax 1-2 Real Madrid latest news

There was no shortage of drama as the Champions League last-16 ties continued on Wednesday evening.

Tottenham will take a three-goal advantage to Germany for their second leg against Borussia Dortmund courtesy of efforts from Heung-min Son, Jan Vertonghen and Fernando Llorente, while holders Real Madrid lead Ajax 2-1 thanks to Karim Benzema and a late Marco Asensio winner.

There was a first UCL VAR controversy in that contest at Johan Cruyff Arena as the hosts were denied a goal before half-time when Nicolas Tagliafico's header was ruled out after referee Damir Skomina looked at his touchline monitor.

It was another night of fascinating action as the Champions League returned for the knockout stage.

Man Utd were outclassed by Paris Saint-Germain at Old Trafford as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer lost his first game as caretaker manager.

Presnel Kimpembe and Kylian Mbappe struck in the second half before Paul Pogba was sent off to hand the French champions a strong 2-0 lead ahead of the second leg at Parc des Princes.

In the other last 16 tie, Roma take a slender advantage to Portugal after a double from teenager Nicolo Zaniolo sealed a narrow 2-1 win over Porto.
