It’s matchday three in Europe’s elite club competition, with English interest tonight focusing on Manchester City and Liverpool.
Pep Guardiola’s side are hosting Olympiacos as Liverpool face off against Atalanta in Italy.
City will again likely be without a recognised striker, with Sergio Aguero sidelined and Gabriel Jesus lacking match fitness, and Guardiola has insisted Sunday’s Premier League clash with the Reds will not play into his planning. Nathan Ake is available again but Fernandinho and Benjamin Mendy remain on the sidelined.
Meanwhile, Jurgen Klopp will be weighing up whether to hand 23-year-old Nat Phillips a Champions League debut after a man-of-the-match Premier League box at the weekend. The Reds injury problems are not getting much better, but can also call upon the very impressive summer arrival Diogo Jota up front should they need.
