The corrected draw for the last-16 of the UEFA Champions League has been made this afternoon, with Manchester City, Manchester United, Chelsea and Liverpool all discovering who they will face for a second time.
The draw, as planned, took place earlier this morning, but a "technical error" forced the draw into being conducted for a second time, following an error concerning a tie between United and Villarreal. The two clubs were not supposed to be paired against one another after facing each other in the group stages.
The tie was quickly retracted and United went onto draw Paris Saint-Germain. However, United were not put back into the correct bowl, meaning they were denied the chance to possibly face Atletico Madrid.
UEFA, following the error, confirmed that the draw would be conducted for a second time, with it held at 2pm.
With the draw for the first knockout phase of the competition seeded, meaning there was specific criteria for who could face who, with the group winners locking horns with runners-up, United have now been handed the task of getting the better of Atletico in the last-16 whilst City, who won Group A, will lock horns with Sporting Lisbon.
Current Champions League holders Chelsea, who were on the runners-up side of the draw, will go head-to-head with Lille.
Liverpool, meanwhile, will face Inter Milan.
United will be away from home in the first-leg, meaning they will have the advantage of playing at Old Trafford in front of their own fans in the deciding fixture, as they look to reach the quarter-finals of the competition for the first time since 2019.
City, too, will also be away from in the first-leg, meaning they will travel to the Estadio Jose Alvalade stadium, before welcoming Sporting back to the Etihad Stadium for the second encounter.
Whilst Liverpool, as a result of them being on the group winners' side of the draw, will also be at home for their second-leg against Inter, Chelsea will be at home in the first-leg, meaning they will travel to France for their deciding encounter against Lille.
Elsewhere, Red Bull Salzburg will face six-time winners Bayern Munich and PSG will lock horns with Real Madrid.
