Champions League first qualifying round draw: Linfield paired with Legia Warsaw

Linfield will meet Legia Warsaw if they qualify for the first qualifying round of he UEFA Champions League.

The draw was made in Nyon, Switzerland on Sunday morning.

The Blues beat Tre Fiori in the preliminary qualifying round semi-finals on Saturday.

They play Drita of Kosova in the final on Tuesday evening.

And on Sunday it was confirmed that the winners will travel to Polish side Legia Warsaw in the first qualifying round.

Legia won the 2019/20 Ekstraklasa hy seven points, clear of Piast Gilwice in the final standings.

In the same draw Scottish Premiership champions Celtic were drawn at home to KR Reykjavik from Iceland.

Icelandic champions KR Reykjavik are a familiar to the Hoops. The Scottish giants beat them 5-0 on aggregate in a 2014 Champions League qualifier.

Elsewhere, Welsh side Connah's Quay Nomads will host FK Sarajevo, while League of Ireland outfit Dundalk will play NK Celje of Slovenia.

The ties will be played over just one leg on either August 18 or 19.
