The Champions League Final could be played in England with talks on going between the FA and UEFA as the Government say they are "very open" to hosting the showpiece event.
Manchester City made it to their first ever final with victory over PSG on Tuesday night.
And 24 hours later Chelsea ensured it would be an all-English affair when they saw off Real Madrid.
Istanbul's Atatürk Stadium was due to host the final last year before it was moved because of the pandemic and they could again miss out due to the current state of affairs.
There have been calls for UEFA to move the final as countries continue to get a hold of the coronavirus with varying degrees of success.
Turkey are on the UK's red list meaning fans would be unable to travel to Istanbul, a city currently in lockdown.
Grant Shapps, the Transport Secretary, has said: “I’m afraid we are having to put Turkey on the red list. This will have a number of ramifications. First of all, it does mean with the regards to the Champions League, fans should not travel to Turkey.
“The FA are in discussions with UEFA on this. We are very open to hosting the final but it is ultimately a decision for UEFA.
“Of course the UK has already got a successful track record of football matches with spectators, so we are well placed to do it.

“We are very open to it but it is in the end a decision for UEFA to make, but given there are two English clubs in that final, we look forward to what they have to say.”
The Champions League Final is scheduled to take place on May 29.
Wembley has already hosted two finals in recent years but is booked on that day for the Championship play-off final leaving authorities with a decision to make.
Aston Villa has put forward Villa Park as a potential venue but changes would have to be made due to it not being a UEFA-approved elite venue.
