Champions League final odds - Liverpool favourites but Tottenham backed to win

Bookmakers have released odds on the Champions League final with Liverpool facing fellow Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur in Madrid.

The Reds – five times winners – have been made favourites to lift the trophy at 8/15, with Spurs currently 13/8.

However, Mauricio Pochettino's side are slightly more popular with punters so far, accumulating 58% of all bets on the eventual winner.

A draw is priced at 5/2, with a 1-1 draw the most likely correct score at 5/1.

Liverpool are not odds-on to win the match, however, priced at even money to escape 90 minutes with a victory.

On the other side, Spurs are 3/1 to overcome their domestic rivals.

Goals are expected to flow when the two sides meet, with over 2.5 goals being odds-on at 4/5. Under 2.5 is even money.

Together Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur have completed a monumental 65/1 double, with both English teams making it to the Champions League final.

The hunter becomes the hunted as Liverpool face Tottenham in the Champions League final with expectation not hope

Spurs were 20/1 to overcome Ajax whilst trailing 2-0 on aggregate at half time, with a flurry of bets placed on Lucas Moura and co.

Meanwhile, 24 hours earlier Liverpool were 66/1 best price to beat Barcelona 4-0 on Tuesday, but they did just that to qualify for back-to-back Champions League finals.

It was 18/1 before the game that Jurgen Klopp’s side could do the unthinkable and qualify, but 69% of bets in the ‘to qualify’ market were on the Reds with some punters perhaps knowing something that the wider footballing public didn’t.

Oddschecker spokesperson George Elek: “After what we have witnessed in the last 48 hours who would want to make a prediction on where this one is going to go?

“Both teams will come into the final absolutely over the moon to even be there - but those who bang on about the lack of trophies that Klopp and Pochettino have won are going to have to accept that one will clinch the biggest club prize of them all.”
