Champions League draw LIVE - Manchester United to face PSG, Liverpool vs Bayern, Schalke vs Man City and Spurs vs Dortmund

Follow the latest reaction from the Champions League last-16 draw as Manchester City, Manchester United, Tottenham and Liverpool discovered their European opponents for the knockout stages.

United have been handed a nightmare tie as they face reigning Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain and the likes of Neymar and Kylian Mbappe. With Jose Mourinho's side currently stuck in a nightmare run of form, they will hope for significant change before the two sides meet at Old Trafford in February. There are no such issues for rivals City though, with Pep Guardiola's side cruising through the group stage and securing a favourable tie with Schalke.

That's one of three Anglo-German clashes as Liverpool find themselves paired with Bayern Munich, with the Bundesliga giants still a sizeable opponent even if they are struggling this season. Bayern find themselves nine points behind Borussia Dortmund in the league, who will be heading to London in February as they have been drawn against Tottenham Hotspur, completing the line-up for the four Premier League sides. Follow the live updates below.

For Champions League favourites Manchester City, it was a case of getting back into their stride. Following defeat by Chelsea and conceding an early goal, Leroy Sane inspired a comeback victory over Hoffenheim to seal their place as group winners.

It wasn't such a night to remember for United though as they saw their hopes of topping their group go up in smoke after falling to a 2-1 defeat in Valencia - a result that by all accounts could have been much worse.
 
It leaves Jose Mourinho's side facing a much trickier challenge this morning.

Tuesday was a far more thrilling - and successful - day for the Premier League contingent. Up against it at the Nou Camp, Tottenham found the goal they needed to draw with Barcelona 1-1 and secure their place in the last 16 at the expense of Inter Milan, who were unable to beat PSV Eindhoven.

And finally, another memorable night at Anfield saw Liverpool deliver the victory they needed in beating Napoli 1-0 to reach the last 16, although they missed out on top spot as PSG saw off Red Star Belgrade to condemn Jurgen Klopp's side to second place.

It leaves the Champions League packed full of talent and the biggest clubs in Europe, with England, Spain, France, Germany and Italy all represented as well as the Netherlands and Portugal having representatives.

Uefa's competitions director Giorgio Marchetti is not far from emerging on stage to kick-off proceedings in Nyon, where he'll be joined by the great and good of the Champions League.
 
Liverpool legends Ian Rush and Steve McManaman have already been spotted in the building, while former Chelsea midfielder Michael Essien has also arrived.

The latest bookmakers' odds have Manchester City installed as favourites, although that could well change once the drawn is completed.
 
However, Phil Foden isn't afraid of anyone that City could face, with the young midfielder saying this week: 
We'll take anyone. We're excited to see the draw and I can't wait for the game.
