Champions Arsenal face tough challenge in Women’s Champions League draw

  • European champions Arsenal are drawn against Lyon, Real Madrid, and Bayern Munich in the new league phase of the competition.
  • Chelsea will face Barcelona for the fourth consecutive season in the Women's Champions League, having been eliminated by them in the semi-finals three times previously.
  • Debutants Manchester United will play Paris Saint-Germain, Lyon, Wolfsburg, and Juventus, with former goalkeeper Mary Earps set to return.
  • The expanded Women's Champions League now features 18 teams, with each club playing six fixtures, comprising three home and three away matches.
  • The top four teams in the league phase will progress directly to the quarter-finals, while those ranked 5th to 12th will compete in a play-off round.
