Champ Bailey tweeted his phone number and is adding fans to his contacts

Champ Bailey is a man of the people.

The Former Redskins and Broncos cornerback tweeted his phone number before being enshrined in the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton, Ohio on Saturday evening.

“Thanks for the love and encouragement,” Bailey tweeted. “Almost my turn. Text me and let me know how you like my speech. (404) 994-8030.”

Bailey then delivered a 30-minute speech before later confirming that it is his phone number.

“Yeah. It’s me,” Bailey tweeted. “Text me and I’ll add you to my phone. 404.994.8030.”

We’re guessing that Bailey has two phones and is using one for this specific occasion — otherwise, he’s going to get blown up with notifications for several days. Perhaps he’s OK with that, though. The Hall of Famer has been responding to text messages from fans and says he is adding them to his contacts list.

Bailey was voted to 12 Pro Bowls during his career, more than any other cornerback in NFL history.
