Former Georgia Bulldog cornerback and Denver Broncos legend Champ Bailey was inducted into the Hall of Fame last night. Bailey delivered an emotional speech. He simply asks everybody to please listen:
Kudos to Bailey for saying something that needed to be said. His speech indirectly points to the controversial figure, Colin Kaepernick, who knelled during the national anthem. Lots of people want separation between sports and politics, but that’ll never be the case. Politics can be tied back to everything and it directly impacts sports, especially the NFL.
In addition to delivering his powerful message, Bailey received his bust. Bailey will forever go down in football history for his NFL career. The Pro Football Hall of Fame is among the highest honors an NFL player can accomplish.
