Challenge Cup quarter-final draw delivers tasty ties

The remaining clubs in the Challenge Cup have delivered their potential opponents in the quarter-final after the draw was conducted.

BBC host Mark Chapman hosted the draw during half-time of the Catalans v Wakefield game, despite four third round games yet to be completed.

Castleford Tigers and Salford Red Devils is the only confirmed tie after their victories earlier in the weekend.

A repeat of the 2017 final is on the cards with Wigan Warriors drawn away to the winners of Featherstone Rovers and Hull FC.

St Helens, the Super League champions, will play the winners of Sunday's game between Leigh Centurions and Huddersfield Giants as a reward for their victory over defending Challenge Cup holders, Leeds Rhinos.

The final tie will see Catalans Dragons or Wakefield Trinity take on Swinton Lions or Warrington Wolves.

All four game will be played over the weekend of May 7/8 with two doubleheaders to be staged. Both events will be played at neutral grounds.

Wigan defeated York to advance while Castleford won their third-round tie against Hull KR in the fourth period of golden point.

Salford overcame Widnes Vikings to advance.
