It is also accompanied by a video of Khan and Snoop Dogg at a party, filmed at The Beehive in Los Angeles.

Snoop said of the song: “There’s nothing you can do to ever erase this. It’s in your system, now let it get into your soul.”

Posting the clip on social media, Khan also said: “Boogie’s In My Soul featuring @snoopdogg is out now. I want to see how you’re celebrating Juneteenth this weekend with this track. Turn it up, get moving, and tag me and @snoopdogg so we can see you feeling it.”

Khan’s first album in more than seven years also features songs with Sia and Lenny Kravitz.

The album’s full track listing has also been announced. The song with Sia is titled Cool U Down and Khan’s collaboration with Kravitz is Bring The Party.

Other singles include Curious Subject, I Know You Can, Always Love The Challenge, Heart Of Gold, Now And Forever, and Dreamy Stuff.

The announcement follows the release of the album’s title track, Chakzilla, which has already surpassed one million views on YouTube.

The singer said: “This album is about joy. It’s about freedom. It’s about loving yourself, loving each other, and finding your power no matter where you are in life.

“I’ve lived a lot of life since my last record, and I wanted these songs to celebrate that. This music is about being human, feelin’ good, and stepping into our power.”

Her representatives have also called it a “celebration of power, joy, love, resilience, and reinvention” and said it showed Khan “at the height of her creative freedom”.

Chakzilla will be released on September 18.

Khan, real name Yvette Marie Stevens, has had a career spanning more than five decades, which began in the 1970s as the lead vocalist of the funk band Rufus.

After embarking on a solo career she released tracks including the number-one R&B song I’m Every Woman, and What Cha’ Gonna Do for Me.

Her last album, Hello Happiness, was released in 2019.

She has worked with Whitney Houston, Ray Charles, Quincy Jones, Miles Davis, Joni Mitchell and Ariana Grande.
