When fashion designer Abhishek Ray tied the knot with his beau Chaitanya in a traditional Bengali wedding, the world sat and took notice. Their wedding stood out not just because it was a same sex matrimony but was also planned so asthetically.
Their wedding was almost a grand wedding with all the ceremonies that took place among their dear ones, friends and cousins. almost 200 people were there, there was a lovely Haldi ceremony with lavish flower décor, and garlands were exchanged during the wedding.
Talking about how the couple met, Chaitanya and Abhishek were friends on Facebook and they started talking in 2020 on Abhishek's birthday and that's how their conversation went deeper. They both shared each and every thing with each other. Things took a turn when Chaitanya went and met Abhishek and that's how the beautiful journey of love for the couple started.
Chaitanya proposed Abhishek during their to trip to Agra. Taj mahal in the background and couple in the front is like a cherry on the cake, as everything seemed perfect and love wins.
There were a lot of hurdles in their marriage first was convincing their parents which took time but was supported since Chaitanya's mother knew. then the major problem was in finding the pandit as marrying the same sex is considered a taboo.
The message that the couple gives us is that we really need to expand our thoughts and accept all forms of love.
