Chaillot dancers step off the stage and into the classroom

Since the audience can’t come to them, they’ve gone to the audience. Dancers from the Theatre National de Chaillot have been giving special performances for high school students in France. Our reporters went to find out how the troupe’s adapted the traditional fables of “La Fontaine” for a very different sort of performance space. And we take a look at an experimental and tentative return to cinemas here in France as certain special screenings take place.

Meanwhile, the French film industry has its sights set on the Cannes Film Festival in July, where director Spike Lee will make history as the first black president of the jury.

And Gustav Klimt’s dreamlike landscape "Rose Bushes under Trees" is to be returned to its rightful owners, 80 years after it ended up in the possession of the Nazis in Austria.
