Chadwick Boseman's final acting performance before tragic death from cancer unveiled

Chadwick Boseman's final performance as King T'Challa has been unveiled by Marvel.

The late actor, who tragically died in August 2020 at the age of 43, provided his voice for an animated series called What If...? which is set to be released within days.

Although the What If...? series only uses Chadwick's voice, it will mark the actor's final performance as his iconic Black Panther character. However, the series has quite a twist which means we will see the character in a completely new light.

The Disney+ series will explore some of the major Marvel comic storylines through a different lens, and features captivating visuals in a 10-part show.

In this reimagined world, the Marvel producers have placed the characters into different universes as well as different roles. In the stunning trailer for Chadwick's episode, T'Challa will actually assume the role of the Star-Lord, from Guardian's of the Galaxy.

Chadwick's appearance in the new Marvel animated series comes almost one year after the actor sadly died following a quiet four-year battle with colon cancer.

The actor had been diagnosed with stage 3 colon cancer in 2016, and yet continued to appear in a host of movies in between surgeries and chemotherapy. ⁣However, it sadly progressed to stage 4 cancer and he passed away in 2020 surrounded by his family.

Despite his secret cancer batter, he was also cast as King T'Challa for Marvel in 2016.

It would be a role that gained him international acclaim when he appeared in the award-winning Black Panther film two years later. He also appeared Da 5 Bloods as well as Ma Rainey's Black Bottom, which was released after his death.
