Chad Johnson was mad Tee Higgins fell out of 1st round…until Bengals took him

Cincinnati Bengals legend Chad Johnson left the first round of the 2020 NFL draft mad Clemson wide receiver Tee Higgins didn’t get picked.

The Bengals made it right at the very top of Round 2 the next day.

Cincinnati picked Higgins to start the action Friday, giving the Joe Burrow-led offense another big-play artist.

Before they did, Johnson tweeted out his irritation that Higgins hadn’t been selected, calling Higgins a “game changing player.”

After the Bengals made the pick? Johnson made sure to reach out and do what he does, suggesting a meet over McDonald’s so they could talk shop about what comes next:

It was only a matter of time, really.

And if Chad likes a wideout, it’s probably best for the Bengals to like a wideout too. Not long after the pick, we found out T.J. Houshmandzadeh had been helping train Higgins this offseason too — and Housh says Higgins can be a top NFL wideout.

It sure sounds like the Bengals just got a Round 1-caliber wideout for Joe Burrow.
