Chad Johnson appears to save Twitter follower who was facing eviction

What started as a seemingly innocuous question from Chad Johnson to his Twitter followers on Friday appears to have turned into a potentially life-saving act of kindness.

The former Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver tweeted a casual message out to his more than three million followers on Friday afternoon:

Well, one person only goes by Chris on Twitter was among the the hundreds of people who replied and told the former Pro Bowler that he was facing eviction. His message clearly caught Johnson’s attention because he responded with an offer to help the guy out if he could prove he was about to be kicked out of his residence.

And less than an hour after Chris replied, he tweeted out a screenshot showing his PayPal balance had about $1,500 available, adding about Johnson: “I owe this man my life.” In a separate tweet, Chris again claimed this was 100 percent true.

But this isn’t the first time Johnson has been randomly or inexplicably generous — particularly when it comes to being a big tipper.
