CFN 2020 All-America Quarterbacks

CFN 2020 First Team All-America Quarterback

Trevor Lawrence, Jr. Clemson
He might not have the elite stats compared to what the other top quarterbacks put up over the last few seasons, but he has one loss as a starter in his first two seasons with two ACC championships, two national title appearances and a College Football Playoff national champion.

The numbers are pretty good, too, completing 66% of his throws for 3,665 yards and 36 touchdowns with eight picks last year, and he ran for 563 yards and nine touchdowns.

CFN 2020 Second Team All-America Quarterback

Justin Fields, Jr. Ohio State
Go ahead and flip a coin between Fields and Trevor Lawrence on who the best quarterback is coming into the season.

The 6-3, 223-pounder proved he’s among the best of the best with an unstoppable season, throwing 41 touchdown passes and three picks – two in the CFP semifinal loss to Clemson – to go along with 484 rushing yards and ten interceptions.

CFN 2020 All-America Running Backs

CFN 2020 First Team All-America Running Backs

1. Travis Etienne, Sr. Clemson
His biggest problem is being overlooked on an elite team with elite players across the board. Other than that, he continues to be fabulous, coming off an amazing season with 1,614 rushing yards and 19 scores – averaging 7.8 yards per carry – and with 37 catches for 432 yards and four scores.

2. Chuba Hubbard, Jr. Oklahoma State
It’s been an interesting offseason for the 2019’s leading rusher. The 6-1, 207-pound speedster could’ve been someone NFL team’s starter, but he’s back after running for 2,094 yards and 21 touchdowns with 23 catches for 198 yards.

CFN 2020 Second Team All-America Running Backs

3. Najee Harris, Sr. Alabama
Can he keep it all going? The one-time superstar recruit kicked it into high gear over the late part of last season, finishing with 1,224 yards and 13 scores, and catching 27 passes for 304 yards and seven scores. Now it’s salary drive time for the next level.

4. Kylin Hill, Sr. Mississippi State
Don’t forget that Mike Leach likes to get his star running backs the ball – Max Borghi had a huge season for Washington State. Hill only caught 18 passes, but he’ll get the ball in his hands more in the passing game. Don’t be shocked if he matches his 1,350 rushing yard, ten-score season, too.

CFN 2020 Honorable Mention All-Americans

5. CJ Verdell, Jr. Oregon
6. Jaret Patterson, Jr. Buffalo
7. Max Borghi, Jr. Washington State
8. Kenneth Gainwell, Soph. Memphis
9. Rakeem Boyd, Sr. Arkansas
10. Zamir White, Soph. Georgia
11. Kennedy Brooks, Jr. Oklahoma
12. Elijah Collins, Soph. Michigan State

CFN 2020 All-America Wide Receivers

CFN 2020 First Team All-America Wide Receivers

1. JaMarr Chase, Jr. LSU
Is there any way he can do it again after losing so many parts who made the 2019 passing game blow up? Chase was the Biletnikoff winner as the nation’s best wide receiver, and now he’s back after catching 84 passes for 1,780 yards and 20 scores, averaging over 21 yards per grab.

2. Rondale Moore, Soph. Purdue
Yeah, the lightning-fast playmaker only caught 29 passes for 387 yards and two scores, but he did it in four games before getting knocked out for the year. The guy who caught 114 passes and 12 scores as a freshman should be back to form.

CFN 2020 Second Team All-America Wide Receivers

3. DeVonta Smith, Sr. Alabama
Lost in all the talent on the 2019 Bama receiving corps – and with Jerry Jeudy and Henry Ruggs getting all of the NFL love – was that Smith led the team with 1,256 yards and 14 scores. Now he’ll get targeted even more.

4. Tylan Wallace, Sr. Oklahoma State
On his way to a second straight massive season – he caught 86 passes for 1,491 yards and 12 scores as a sophomore – he got hurt eight games in after making 53 grabs for 903 yards and eight touchdowns. Now he’s healthy again.

CFN 2020 Honorable Mention All-Americans

5. Jaylen Waddle, Jr. Alabama
6. Seth Williams, Jr. Auburn
7. Sage Surratt, Jr. Wake Forest
8. Amon-Ra St. Brown, Jr. USC
9. Tutu Atwell, Jr. Louisville
10. Damonte Coxie, Sr. Memphis
11. Chris Olave, Jr. Ohio State
12. Marquez Stevenson, Sr. Houston

CFN 2020 All-America Tight Ends

CFN 2020 First Team All-America Tight End

Kyle Pitts, Jr. Florida
The team’s leading receiver helped keep the offense rolling after QB Feleipe Franks went down and Kyle Trask filled in. The 6-6, 239-pound junior catch 54 passes for 649 yards and five scores, and now he gets the break of having more help around him to take the pressure off.

CFN 2020 Second Team All-America Tight End

Pat Freiermuth, Jr. Penn State
The Nittany Lion safety valve has the 6-5, 256-pound size, the route running ability, and the catching radius to grab anything thrown his way. He caught 43 passes for 507 yards and seven scores, with the upside to do more deep.

CFN 2020 Honorable Mention All-Americans

3. Brevin Jordan, Jr. Miami
4. Trey McBride, Jr. Colorado State
5. Charlie Kolar, Jr. Iowa State
6. Jake Ferguson, Jr. Wisconsin

CFN 2020 All-America Centers

CFN 2020 All-America Centers

CFN 2020 First Team All-America Center

Creed Humphrey, Jr. Oklahoma
The Sooner offensive front hasn’t been appreciated enough as the engine that makes the whole thing go. The 6-5, 307-pound Humphrey has been the quarterback up front over the last two seasons; he’s a blaster of a run blocker to go along with the requisite pass protection skills.

CFN 2020 Second Team All-America Center

Drake Jackson, Sr. Kentucky
The 6-2, 310-pound senior isn’t big enough, and he might not be the NFL prospect of other great centers coming into the season, but he’s a whale of a blocker who’s going into his fourth season as the UK starting center.  He’s a killer for the running game.

CFN 2020 Honorable Mention All-Americans

3. Landon Dickerson, Sr. Alabama
4. Jimmy Morrissey, Sr. Pitt
5. Trey Hill, Jr. Georgia
6. Jarrett Patterson, Soph. Notre Dame
7. Drew Dalman, Sr. Stanford
8. Matt Allen, Sr. Michigan State
9. James Empey, Jr. BYU
10. Noah Hannon, Sr. Appalachian State

CFN 2020 All-America Offensive Guards

CFN 2020 All-America Offensive Guards

CFN 2020 First Team All-America Offensive Guards

1. Trey Smith, Sr. Tennessee
One of the best stories in college football, the 6-6, 335-pound former super-recruit got through a scary blood clotting problem, and now he’s a veteran guard with the upside to work at tackle at the next level. He’s a technician with a terrific combination of size and quickness.

2. Marquis Hayes, Jr. Oklahoma
The 6-5, 344-pounder went from being a decent backup to a destructive force on the left side of the Sooner line. He can move, but he’s at his best when he gets to blast away for the ground game.

CFN 2020 Second Team All-America Offensive Guards

3. Wyatt Davis, Jr. Ohio State
He was a big recruit, even for Ohio State. The star blocking prospect turned into a force once he took over a starting spot last season, with the quickness and athleticism to work at tackle, even though he’ll likely be a 6-4, 315-pound guard.

4. Cole Schneider, Jr. UCF
While he might not be a huge road grader, the 6-4, 312-pounder should grow into a bigger factor for an already great offensive front – now he knows what he’s doing with 25 games of starting experience. Get him on the move, and forget it.

CFN 2020 Honorable Mention All-Americans

5. Xavier Newman-Johnson, Sr. Baylor
6. Deonte Brown, Sr. Alabama
7. Blaise Andries, Jr. Minnesota
8. Cain Madden, Sr. Marshall
9. Lecitus Smith, Jr. Virginia Tech
10. Josh Watson, Sr. Washington State
11. Bryce Hargrove, Sr. Pitt
12. Navaughn Donaldson, Sr. Miami

CFN 2020 First Team All-America Offensive Tackles

1. Penei Sewell, Jr. Oregon
No, you’re not being pretentious to suggest that Sewell its a better pro prospect than Trevor Lawrence and Justin Fields. The 6-6, 331-pounder won the lineman awards in 2019, and now he’ll be celebrated even more as the 6-6, 331-pound ideal dream of an NFL left tackle. Guys his size with his pass protection skills are rare.

2. Liam Eichenberg, Sr. Notre Dame
The 6-6, 305-pound star of the Irish line might not be quite the NFL superstar prospect of recent Irish blockers, but he’s going to be great again for another good Irish offensive front. With 26 games of starting experience over the last two seasons, he’s the veteran rock.

CFN 2020 Second Team All-America Offensive Tackles

3. Samuel Cosmi, Jr. Texas
Big, experienced, and with the all-around game to fit any style, the 6-7, 309-pound junior moved around a bit in his 26 games as a starting tackle, and now he’ll make a push to be a top 15 overall pick with another great year.

4. Alex Leatherwood, Sr. Alabama
It was his turn. The former guard stepped in at tackle and turned into an All-SEC performer. At 6-6 and 310 pounds, he’s plenty big enough, even if he’s to the normal blot-out-the-sun blocker who normally works for the Tide. Whatever – he’ll be a dominant left tackle.

CFN 2020 Honorable Mention All-Americans

5. Walker Little, Sr. Stanford
6. Alaric Jackson, Sr. Iowa
7. Jalen Mayfield, Jr. Michigan
8. Abraham Lucas, Jr. Washington State
9. Cole Van Lanen, Sr. Wisconsin
10. Thayer Munford, Sr. Ohio State
11. Nick Ford, Jr. Utah
12. Foster Sarell, Sr. Stanford
