Cesc Fabregas responds to Chelsea fans' claims he preferred the Blues over Arsenal

Former Chelsea and Arsenal midfielder Cesc Fabregas has taken to social media to respond to Chelsea fans following an Instagram live video with his daughter.

It was claimed that the Spaniard had said to his little girl: “Daddy just told you what’s my favorite team I played at. What is it?” To which she responded: “Chelsea,” much to the delight of Blues’ fans.

However, responding to the claims, Fabregas has explained both the question and the answer.

To be fair I asked her: from all the clubs that I've played for, which one is your favourite?” He tweeted.

Alan Smith's full Chelsea Q&A

“At Arsenal she wasn’t born, at Barcelona she was only 1, she lived in London with me at Chelsea for 5 years coming to every game and wearing all the shirts... a bit of an easy answer…”

In a second tweet he wrote: “I’m just saying exactly what happened, that’s all. Been so happy everywhere I’ve been with ups and lows. Why the obsession to always have to pick one? She is only 6 and loved it at Chelsea. Bless her.”

Fabregas arrived in England when he signed for Arsenal in 2003. He played 306 games for the Gunners before returning to Barcelona. He returned to England in 2014 when he signed for Chelsea, where he played 198 games for the Blues.
